fibre optics
Fibre optics use thin strands of glass or plastic to transmit data as pulses of light. These fibres carry information over long distances with high speed and minimal loss, making them ideal for internet, phone, and cable TV connections. Light travels through the core of the fibre by bouncing off the walls, a process called total internal reflection, which keeps the signal strong even over great lengths. Fibre optics are more efficient and secure than traditional copper wires, enabling faster, clearer communication with less interference.
