Fiber Optic Communication System
A fiber optic communication system transmits data using pulses of light conveyed through thin strands of glass or plastic called optical fibers. These fibers carry information over long distances with high speed and minimal loss. A light source, like a laser or LED, encodes data onto the light, which travels through the fiber with little interference or degradation. At the receiving end, sensitive detectors convert the light signals back into electrical data. This technology is widely used for internet, telephone, and cable TV services due to its efficiency, bandwidth capacity, and reliability.
