FETAC (Further Education and Training Awards Council)

FETAC, or the Further Education and Training Awards Council, was an organization in Ireland responsible for certifying qualifications in vocational education and training. It ensured that courses in areas like technology, healthcare, and trades met quality standards and provided recognized credentials for learners. FETAC's role was to promote high-quality, accessible education that prepares individuals for the workforce or further study. In 2013, FETAC's functions were integrated into Quality & Qualifications Ireland (QQI), which now oversees the certification and quality assurance of further education and training programs nationwide.
