FERPA regulations
FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) is a law that protects students' personal education information. It gives students (or parents if the student is a minor) the right to access their education records, request corrections, and control who can see this information. Schools must have written permission to share records with outside parties, except in certain situations like emergencies or with school officials who need access. The law ensures students’ privacy is maintained while allowing necessary educational access and communication.
