Ferdinand of Bavaria
Ferdinand of Bavaria (1864–1958) was the last Crown Prince of Bavaria, the son of King Ludwig III. Educated in military and administrative roles, he was involved in Bavarian affairs during a turbulent period that included World War I and the fall of the monarchy. Unlike some relatives who pursued political power, Ferdinand largely stayed out of public controversy. His life reflects the transitions of Bavarian and German history during the early 20th century, from monarchy to republic, embodying the experience of a royal navigating a rapidly changing world.
