Femoral Anteversion

Femoral anteversion is a condition where the thigh bone (femur) rotates more inward than normal. This inward twist causes the knees and feet to point more toward each other, often leading to a "pigeon-toed" appearance. It is a natural variation during development, but if severe, it can affect walking, balance, or cause discomfort. The degree of anteversion varies among individuals and can sometimes improve as children grow. In some cases, treatment such as physical therapy or surgery may be recommended if the rotation significantly impacts function or mobility.
