Female Engagement Teams

Female Engagement Teams (FETs) are groups composed of women, often within military or security organizations, who interact directly with local women and communities. Their purpose is to build trust, gather cultural insights, and address issues that men might not easily access, such as women’s concerns or needs. By engaging women respectfully and effectively, FETs help improve security, promote cooperation, and support community development in conflict or post-conflict areas. They serve as a bridge between military or security forces and local populations, fostering understanding and positive relationships.
