Federated Simulation

Federated simulation is a method where multiple separate computer models or simulations, often representing different systems or organizations, work together to create a comprehensive, integrated view. Instead of building one large, complex model, each participant maintains its own simulation, which communicates and exchanges data with others in real time. This approach allows for more flexible, accurate testing and analysis of complex interactions—such as military operations, urban planning, or transportation systems—by combining specialized models while preserving their independence. It enables collaboration across different domains without needing to unify all data into a single system.
