Federal Bureau of Narcotics

The Federal Bureau of Narcotics (FBN) was a U.S. government agency established in 1930 to combat illegal drug trafficking and abuse. It was responsible for enforcing drug laws, regulating narcotics, and combating organized crime involved in drug distribution. The FBN played a key role in shaping drug policy until it was integrated into the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in 1973. In essence, it was an early effort by the federal government to control and reduce illegal drug activity to protect public health and safety.
