Feature Vector

A feature vector is a collection of measurements or attributes that describe an object or item in a structured way. For example, in recognizing a person's face, features might include eye color, nose shape, and face width. These measurements are organized into a list or array used by computers to analyze, compare, or identify objects efficiently. Essentially, a feature vector translates complex information into a simplified, numerical form that a machine learning model can process and learn from.
