FCoE

Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) is a technology that allows data typically sent over specialized Fibre Channel networks to be transmitted over standard Ethernet cables. This enables storage devices and servers to communicate efficiently using existing network infrastructure, reducing the need for separate wiring and simplifying data center design. FCoE combines the high-speed, reliable features of Fibre Channel with the cost-effectiveness and ubiquity of Ethernet, allowing organizations to manage their storage and network traffic together while maintaining fast, secure data transfers.
