FavouriteNone Theory

FavouriteNone Theory suggests that in decision-making or evaluation scenarios, individuals tend to prefer options that are implicitly “least liked” or “least favored,” rather than the most preferred. Essentially, when faced with choices, some people might unconsciously lean toward rejecting the option they dislike the most, even over options they find more acceptable, because avoiding the worst outcome feels more significant than choosing the best. This theory helps explain certain biases in preferences and choices, highlighting that sometimes the avoidance of negative outcomes influences decisions more than seeking positive ones.
