Father Claude Poullart des Places

Father Claude Poullart des Places (1679–1709) was a French priest dedicated to education and spiritual formation. He founded the Congregation of the Holy Spirit, also known as the Spiritans, to support students preparing for the priesthood and to promote missionary work. His focus was on nurturing faith, scholarship, and service among young men, emphasizing compassion and dedication. Despite his short life, his efforts laid the groundwork for a religious community committed to evangelization and education worldwide.
