fast-than-light travel
Fast-than-light (FTL) travel refers to the theoretical concept of moving faster than the speed of light, which is about 299,792 kilometers per second (186,282 miles per second). According to Einstein’s physics, this is impossible for objects with mass because they would require infinite energy. However, certain ideas, like warp drives or wormholes, suggest spacetime could be manipulated to allow shortcuts or faster routes without violating physics directly. Currently, FTL travel remains speculative and hypothetical, mainly explored in science fiction, as no experimental or theoretical evidence confirms it’s feasible with our current understanding.
