Fast of Ramadan

The Fast of Ramadan is a spiritual practice observed by Muslims worldwide during the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar. It involves abstaining from food, drink, smoking, and immoral behavior from dawn until sunset, fostering self-discipline, reflection, and gratitude. The fast is broken each evening with a meal called iftar. Ramadan is also a time for increased worship, charity, and community engagement, aiming to purify the soul, foster empathy for the less fortunate, and strengthen one’s faith. The fasting concludes with the celebration of Eid al-Fitr, marking the end of the holy month.
