Fasci di Combattimento
Fasci di Combattimento was the name of Benito Mussolini’s political movement founded in 1919, which later became the National Fascist Party. The term translates to "Combat Fasci" or "Fighting Bands," reflecting its militant and paramilitary nature. It aimed to unite Italy under a strong, authoritarian government, emphasizing nationalism, militarism, and anti-communism. The movement grew from a group of veterans and nationalists advocating for Italy’s expansion and order after World War I. Fasci di Combattimento marked the start of Fascist ideology, leading to Mussolini’s rise to power and the establishment of a totalitarian regime in Italy.
