FAS systems

FAS systems, or Facial Attribution Systems, are technology tools that analyze and recognize human faces using advanced algorithms. They process images or videos to identify or verify individuals by comparing facial features like the shape of the jaw, eyes, nose, and distance between key points. These systems are used in security (like unlocking smartphones or access control), law enforcement, and personalized services. They work by creating a digital "map" of a person's face and matching it to stored data in a database. While powerful, they also raise privacy considerations and require careful handling of sensitive biometric information.
