Fas Ligand

Fas Ligand (FasL) is a protein that plays a crucial role in regulating the immune system by helping eliminate infected or unwanted cells. It binds to a specific receptor called Fas on target cells, triggering a process called apoptosis, which is a controlled way of safely dismantling and removing these cells. This mechanism helps maintain immune balance and prevent abnormal cell growth.
