Fard

In Islamic terminology, a "Fard" is an obligatory act that Muslims are required to perform, considered essential for fulfilling their religious duties. These acts are clearly prescribed by Islamic law and are mandatory for all Muslims, such as the five daily prayers, fasting during Ramadan, and giving alms (Zakat). Performing Fard acts is seen as a direct way to worship God and maintain one's faith. Failure to observe them is considered a significant shortcoming in religious practice. Essentially, Fard represents the fundamental obligations that underpin a Muslim’s spiritual responsibilities.
