Family Independence Initiative

The Family Independence Initiative (FII) is a nonprofit organization that partners with low-income families to help them achieve economic stability and independence. Unlike traditional aid programs, FII emphasizes peer support and the sharing of success stories, empowering families to set and reach their own goals. Participants receive resources, coaching, and a small cash transfer, which they use to improve their lives—such as starting a business or furthering education. FII believes families are best equipped to determine what they need and fosters community-driven solutions, promoting self-sufficiency and socioeconomic mobility.
