Fall of the Roman Empire (theory)

The Fall of the Roman Empire is often attributed to a combination of internal weaknesses and external pressures. Internally, political corruption, economic troubles, and social unrest weakened the state. Externally, invasions by various tribes, such as the Visigoths and Vandals, challenged Rome’s borders. Additionally, the empire became too vast to manage effectively. In the late 4th and early 5th centuries, these factors culminated in the Western Roman Empire's decline, leading to its official fall in 476 AD when the last emperor was overthrown. This marked the transition into the Middle Ages in Europe.
