Factor VIIa

Factor VIIa is a crucial protein involved in the blood clotting process, helping the body stop bleeding when injuries occur. It activates a series of reactions that lead to the formation of a blood clot, effectively sealing wounds. Produced naturally in the liver, Factor VIIa works quickly when blood vessels are damaged, initiating clot formation. In medicine, a synthetic version called recombinant Factor VIIa is used to treat bleeding disorders, especially in people with hemophilia or those on anticoagulant therapy, aiding rapid clotting to prevent excessive blood loss.
