Führer Headquarters (Wolfsschanze)
The Führer Headquarters, known as Wolfsschanze (Wolf's Lair), was a complex and heavily fortified command center built by Nazi Germany during World War II. Located in East Prussia (present-day Poland), it served as Adolf Hitler’s main military headquarters from 1941 to 1944. The site included bunkers, command rooms, and support facilities designed to protect Hitler and his staff from aerial attacks while enabling strategic planning. It was a key location for coordinating major military operations and was heavily guarded, reflecting its importance in Germany’s wartime leadership infrastructure.
