Eye Development
Eye development is a complex process that begins early in embryonic life, involving the formation of various structures such as the retina, lens, cornea, and optic nerve. Initially, the eye forms as an outgrowth of the brain, called the optic vesicle, which interacts with surrounding tissues to develop the different parts. Over time, these parts differentiate and organize to create a functional visual system. This process is guided by genetic instructions and signaling molecules to ensure proper shape, positioning, and connection to the brain, enabling us to perceive and interpret visual information.
