Extension tubes
Extension tubes are hollow tubes that attach between a camera and its lens, increasing the distance between them. This extra space allows the lens to focus closer than it normally would, enabling detailed close-up photography, such as of small objects or insects. Unlike macro lenses, extension tubes do not contain glass elements and do not affect image quality significantly. They are a cost-effective way to achieve macro shots without changing lenses and are compatible with many camera and lens combinations, making high-magnification photography more accessible.
