Exponential

Exponential refers to growth or decay that happens at a rate proportional to the current amount, causing it to increase or decrease rapidly over time. For example, in exponential growth, as something gets bigger, it grows even faster, like a bank account with compound interest where your money earns interest on the interest. Similarly, exponential decay describes things shrinking quickly, like radioactive material losing mass. The key idea is that the change accelerates because the rate depends on how much there is already, leading to very rapid increases or decreases in a short period.
