Exploration Ground Systems (EGS)

Exploration Ground Systems (EGS) is NASA's initiative to develop and operate the facilities and infrastructure necessary for launching and supporting lunar missions. This includes building and maintaining spaceports, launch pads, and ground support equipment to ensure safe and efficient rocket launches, particularly for the Artemis program aimed at returning humans to the Moon. EGS coordinates all physical components and operations needed to prepare rockets and spacecraft for launch, enabling NASA to conduct space exploration activities reliably and effectively.
