Expatriates

Expatriates, or "expats," are people who live outside their home country for work, study, or personal reasons. They often move temporarily or permanently to another country, adapting to a different culture and environment. Companies sometimes send employees abroad as expatriates to manage operations or build international relationships. Unlike immigrants, who may settle permanently, expats usually maintain ties to their home country and may eventually return. Their experience involves navigating new social norms, legal systems, and languages, making expatriate life both challenging and rewarding.
