Exotropia

Exotropia is a condition where one or both eyes turn outward, away from the nose, instead of looking straight ahead. It is a type of strabismus and can be intermittent or constant. People with exotropia might experience eye strain, double vision, or difficulty focusing, especially when tired or focusing on distant objects. The condition results from an imbalance in the eye muscles that control eye movement, affecting how well the eyes work together. Treatment options include glasses, vision therapy, or surgery, aimed at aligning the eyes for better binocular vision and reduced symptoms.
