Excretion

Excretion is the process by which the body removes waste products generated from its metabolic activities. These wastes include substances like carbon dioxide, urea, and excess salts, which can be harmful if accumulated. The primary organs involved are the lungs (removing carbon dioxide), the kidneys (filtering blood to remove urea and excess salts, forming urine), and the skin (excreting sweat that contains salts and water). Excretion helps maintain the body's internal balance, or homeostasis, ensuring that waste levels stay within safe ranges for optimal health.
