Excision

Excision is a medical procedure where a surgeon removes tissue, such as a tumor or abnormal growth, from the body. It is commonly used to eliminate diseased or problematic tissue to prevent illness or remove cancer. The goal is to completely remove the targeted area while preserving as much healthy tissue as possible. The procedure is performed under anesthesia and often includes examination of the removed tissue under a microscope to ensure all affected cells are gone. Excision can be done on various parts of the body, depending on the condition being treated.
