An exabyte is a measurement of digital information, equivalent to one billion gigabytes or one million terabytes. To put it into perspective, an exabyte could hold about 250 million DVDs worth of data. It's used to describe extremely large data amounts, such as the total data stored across global data centers or the size of vast data sets in scientific research and cloud storage.
