Ex Works (EXW)

Ex Works (EXW) is a trade term where the seller makes the goods available at their premises or another designated location. From that point, the buyer is responsible for all transportation, customs, and costs involved in getting the goods to their final destination. Essentially, the seller's obligation is fulfilled once the goods are ready for pickup; the buyer bears all risks and expenses afterward. EXW places the maximum responsibility on the buyer, making it suitable when they want control over logistics and transportation arrangements.
