EVM-Compatible Chains
EVM-compatible chains are blockchain networks designed to work seamlessly with Ethereum’s technology. They use the same underlying system—called the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)—which allows developers to create and run smart contracts and decentralized applications (dApps) just like on Ethereum. This compatibility makes it easy to transfer tools, assets, and projects between different blockchains without rewriting code. Examples include Binance Smart Chain and Polygon. Essentially, EVM-compatible chains expand Ethereum's ecosystem, offering faster or cheaper transactions while maintaining familiar functionality for developers and users.
