"Everyday Bias"

"Everyday Bias" refers to the unconscious judgments and assumptions we all make about others in daily life, often based on stereotypes related to race, gender, age, or other characteristics. These biases are usually not intentional and happen automatically, influencing our perceptions and decisions silently. For example, unconsciously assuming someone’s abilities or traits based on their appearance or background. Recognizing everyday bias helps us become more aware of these subtle influences, promoting fairer interactions and decisions by consciously checking our assumptions and choosing more objective, respectful perceptions.
