Evergreen (Compact Disc)
An Evergreen (Compact Disc), often called a CD, is a digital storage medium that uses laser technology to read and play audio recordings. It consists of a reflective, plastic disc with tiny data tracks encoded on its surface. When inserted into a CD player, a laser scans these tracks to retrieve the stored music or data, allowing high-quality playback. CDs are durable, portable, and capable of storing hundreds of megabytes of information, making them a popular format for music, data, and software from the late 20th century through the early 2000s.
