Euthydemus II

Euthydemus II was a Greek king of Bactria, ruling around 255–240 BCE. He was part of the Diodotid dynasty and succeeded his father, Euthydemus I. His reign was marked by conflicts with neighboring kingdoms and efforts to expand or secure his territory. Euthydemus II is also known from historical sources like Polybius, who mentioned his military and diplomatic activities. While specific details about his rule are limited, he played a role in the Hellenistic period, when Greek culture spread into Central Asia after Alexander the Great’s conquests.
