European Union (EU) law refers to the legal framework established by the EU to regulate member countries' relations within the union. It ensures consistency across nations in areas like trade, consumer protection, environmental standards, and human rights. EU laws can take the form of regulations (immediately applicable in all member states) or directives (which set goals for countries to achieve through their own laws).
