European Union Battlegroups
European Union Battlegroups are specialized military units created to enhance the EU's ability to respond to crises. Each battlegroup consists of around 1,500 troops and is made up of forces from different EU member states, allowing for quick deployment in times of need, such as conflict or humanitarian emergencies. Established in 2007, they aim to improve the EU's defense capabilities and promote security, operating under the framework of the Common Security and Defence Policy. While designed for rapid intervention, Battlegroups have yet to be deployed in a real-world situation.
