European Monitoring Centre on Racism and Xenophobia

The European Monitoring Centre on Racism and Xenophobia (EUMC) was an agency of the European Union that tracked issues related to racism, xenophobia, and discrimination across Europe. It collected and analyzed data, reported on trends, and supported policy development aimed at combating intolerance and promoting diversity. The EUMC helped ensure that European countries took measures to protect individuals from discrimination based on race, ethnicity, or nationality. In 2007, it was replaced by the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA), which now conducts similar work on broader human rights issues.
