Europe of Freedom and Direct Democracy

Europe of Freedom and Direct Democracy (EFDD) was a political group in the European Parliament, composed of members from various national parties who shared common views on limiting EU powers and promoting direct citizen involvement in decision-making. They advocated for greater national sovereignty and transparency, often opposing expanding EU authority and emphasizing the importance of referendums. The EFDD aimed to give people more control over laws that affect their lives, emphasizing individual freedoms and reducing bureaucratic influence. It existed from 2014 to 2019, representing a perspective favoring less centralized EU governance.
