Europa Clipper (designed for icy moons but contributes to lunar studies)
Europa Clipper is NASA's spacecraft designed to explore Jupiter's moon Europa, which may have a subsurface ocean beneath its icy crust. Its mission is to study Europa's ice shell, search for signs of habitability, and understand its geology and environment. Although primarily focused on Europa, the spacecraft’s advanced instruments can also gather valuable data about other icy bodies, including the Moon. By enhancing our understanding of icy worlds, Europa Clipper indirectly contributes to lunar research, especially in understanding ice, water, and geological processes relevant to Earth's natural satellite.
