Euratom, or the European Atomic Energy Community, is an organization established by European countries to coordinate and promote the safe, secure, and peaceful use of nuclear energy. It sets common safety standards, ensures nuclear materials are handled responsibly, and supports research and development in nuclear technology. Essentially, Euratom works to facilitate collaboration among member states to harness nuclear energy safely for electricity generation, medical applications, and scientific purposes, while minimizing risks and preventing the misuse of nuclear materials.
