Euglena
Euglena is a unique single-celled organism that exhibits characteristics of both plants and animals. It can perform photosynthesis like plants, using sunlight to produce its own food through a green pigment called chlorophyll. At the same time, Euglena can move using a whip-like tail called a flagellum and can consume food from its environment if sunlight isn't available. This versatility allows Euglena to survive in a variety of aquatic habitats. It plays an important role in ecosystems by producing oxygen and serving as a food source for other organisms.
