Eugenics (theories related)
Eugenics is a set of beliefs and practices aimed at improving the genetic quality of a human population, often through selective breeding, sterilization, or other means to encourage desirable traits and reduce undesirable ones. Historically, it has been associated with pseudoscientific ideas about heredity and often used to justify discriminatory policies against certain groups. While some early eugenic theories claimed to promote health and progress, they have been widely discredited for ethical reasons and their association with human rights abuses. Modern genetics emphasizes individual rights and diversity, rejecting eugenic ideas of controlling reproduction based on supposed genetic worth.
