Euclid of Megara
Euclid of Megara was an ancient Greek philosopher and mathematician, a student of Socrates. He is known for his contributions to early logical thought and ethics, emphasizing self-control and reasoning. Although less famous for mathematics than Euclid of Alexandria, Euclid of Megara founded a school that focused on the importance of clear definitions, logical arguments, and understanding the nature of virtue. His ideas influenced later philosophy, especially the development of dialectical thinking and the integration of logical reasoning into moral and philosophical discussions.
