EU Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP)

The EU Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) is a framework through which European Union member countries collaborate to ensure peace, stability, and security within and outside Europe. It involves joint decision-making, planning, and deployment of military and civilian missions, such as peacekeeping, crisis management, and conflict prevention. CSDP allows member states to act collectively in response to security threats, sharing resources and expertise, while respecting each nation’s sovereignty. Its goal is to enhance Europe's ability to maintain peace and contribute to global security through coordinated efforts.
