EU Battlegroups
EU Battlegroups are rapid-response military teams gradually developed by the European Union to address crises quickly and effectively. Comprising about 1,500 troops from member countries, they can be deployed within 10 days for tasks like peacekeeping, conflict prevention, or humanitarian assistance. While they are a political and military symbol of EU unity and cooperation, they are intended as a flexible tool for the EU to contribute to international security, often working alongside NATO or United Nations missions. They are not a standing army but highly trained, ready-to-go units that can be mobilized quickly when needed.
