ETS (Endoscopic Thoracic Sympathectomy)

Endoscopic Thoracic Sympathectomy (ETS) is a minimally invasive surgical procedure used to treat conditions like excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) or certain vascular issues. It involves inserting a tiny camera and surgical tools through small chest incisions to cut or clamp specific parts of the sympathetic nerves that control sweat glands or blood vessels. The goal is to reduce overactive nerve signals, alleviating symptoms. Because it’s performed using an endoscope— a thin tube with a camera— it generally results in less pain and quicker recovery compared to open surgery.
