Ethnocide
Ethnocide refers to the deliberate or systematic destruction or suppression of a particular culture, language, or ethnic identity. Unlike genocide, which involves killing members of a group, ethnocide aims to erase the group's cultural presence, traditions, and heritage, often through policies or actions that undermine their language, customs, or social structures. It can occur through forced assimilation, cultural bans, or neglect, ultimately leading to the loss of the group's unique cultural identity over time.
